SMA

the process of austenite phase to martensite phase

Austenite Phase ⇌ Martensite Phase

Shape Memory Alloy

Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) are intelligent metals that recover their original shape after deformation when heated. This phase transformation generates stable recovery stress, converting thermal energy into mechanical energy without complex mechanical systems.

SMAs provide active prestressing and adaptive structural performance, making them ideal for advanced engineering applications.

  • Medical: Stents & orthodontic wires
  • Aerospace: Deployable structures & actuators
  • Electronics: Camera autofocus modules

Compact, reliable, and intelligent solutions.

Fe-SMA transforms prestressing technology from " a construction process " into " an intrinsic material capability . "By enabling more flexible and efficient prestress distribution within complex spatial structures, it is ushering in a new era of Smart Prestressing for next-generation infrastructure.

Fe-based Shape Memory Alloy

Fe-based Shape Memory Alloys (Fe-SMAs) overcome the cost and scalability limitations of conventional NiTi alloys, bringing shape memory technology into modern civil engineering.

With high recovery stress, excellent corrosion resistance, and superior fatigue performance, Fe-SMA delivers active prestressing through simple thermal activation, eliminating the need for large hydraulic jacking systems.

Suitable for straight, curved, and complex structures, Fe-SMA enables lightweight, high-performance solutions for bridges, tunnels, buildings, offshore, and prefabricated construction.
